Cover stuff that’s going in the oven with tinfoil (Trust me, I'm making your life easier... recycle other stuff and stop being a martyr in the kitchen, k?) There is a caveat to this. Check your recipe. Sometimes there are various things that say “if you’re cooking in a dark pan, cook for x length of time, if you’re cooking in a reflective pan, cook y amount of time.” Just make sure you peek at the packaging for that sort of wording BEFORE setting your timer.
Buy some crappy foil baking sheets. Cookie sheets are great ‘cus you can get them for like $2.49 for 3 of them, and if you happen to get burned or stuck on stuff, no biggy tossing them in the recycle bin.
